Akamas Peninsula

A walk along the Aphrodite Trail on Akamas will expose you to some of the most beautiful scenery on earth, from rugged headlands to aquamarine seas and towering mountains. Most walkers turn back after a few miles but press on and you’ll find yourself at the end of the cape where the Mediterranean crashes onto the rocky promontory and you’ll invariably be alone to enjoy nature at its best. On your return, climb the zigzag path up the mountainside and you’ll be rewarded with stunning views across Polis Bay.

Sea Caves, Paphos

A geologist’s heaven, the caves were formed by the sea carving vast quantities of the limestone from the cliff. Stretching many kilometres from Coral Bay to Agios Georgios, you’ll always find a secluded spot below the cliffs to simply gaze out at the sea or try a spot of fishing.

For something different, walk along the tracks and roads that interlace the area, winding through banana plantations and heavenly scented citrus groves.

Cape Greco, Paralimni

A majestic headland reached on foot from the eastern end of Ayia Napa, you’ll cross fields of sharp volcanic rock where sea lavender clings precariously to life in the barren surroundings.

Making your way as far as you can up the Cape before reaching the army installation, you’ll look down on rugged bays where, in crystal clear water, sea anemones wave in the swell and crabs and lobsters inch around the pools in search of food.
