Hi, I’m Angelos and I’m Loukia and together we produce some of the most wonderful, award winning wines you’ll ever taste, here on the island of Cyprus. Our great great grandfather first planted the vines here and he passed on his skills and knowledge to successive generations of our family. It wasn’t until 2005 that we decided that our wines were so good it was selfish of us not to share them with the world and so Tsangarides Winery was born. Today we produce 90,000 bottles of top quality red, white and rose wines but at an affordable price. Many of our wines are found in the top hotels and restaurants on the island and we are the official supplier to the Paphos Opera. |

Why not come and visit us and see just how our beautifully crafted wines are made. We’re only just over half an hour outside Paphos. We’ll show you the vineyard in its beautiful setting in a landscape that has changed little over the generations. A tour of the winery will show how traditional growing methods have been married with modern winemaking techniques to produce superb quality products. After the tour we’ll offer you the chance to sample our wines with cheese and crackers to get an idea of the wines you like before being able to purchase your favourites. Now I’ll let Loukia tell you about our unique vine adoption programme. Thanks Angelos. Have you ever dreamed of having your own vineyard or producing wine from your own grapes? Well we can help your dream come true. For 100 euros you can adopt a vine here at the vineyard. Your involvement doesn’t end there. You’re welcome at any time of year to come and visit your vine which will have your name on a label beneath it, you can feed it and when the time is right, you can come and harvest the grapes from it. From there your grapes will be turned into a case of top quality wine, especially for you. Of course, you’ll have to wait a little while but then the best things are worth waiting for. This idea is unique in Cyprus and would make a fabulous gift for a wine connoisseur. I’m going to hand you back to Angelos now to let him tell you about a competition we run each year. Yes, as Loukia said, each year we organise a special competition where we ask all you budding artists out there to design the label for our limited edition ‘Art Collection’ wine. We based the competition on the wines produced by the Rothschild family who used art from famous artists on their labels. If your design is chosen, it will feature on the labels of 1000 bottles which will be donated to a charity who can then auction the wine or use it at a function to raise money for a charity. Last year the children’s charity that received it raised over 1500 euros.
